Consuelo has over 40 years of experience in advertising & publishing, giving her an elite status among her peers in the industry. An accomplished media buyer and strategist, she has researched national markets, recommended, planned and purchased print media for a variety of industries including high technology, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate and the arts. She is also an experienced publication designer with extensive experience in Production Management. Her extensive knowledge and skill set includes Graphic Design, Web Design, Digital Image Editing & Creative Manipulation, Logo Design, Interactive CD Authoring and she is an award-winning art director and designer.

Consuelo skillfully balances her roles of both Production Manager and Media Manager for Mays & Associates. She plays an extremely important role in finalizing designs for printing, ensuring that all technical aspects of designs are flawless as well as functional. Her ability to focus on deadlines and details keeps Mays projects on track. Affectionately referred to as the “Colonel” by clients and staff alike, Consuelo is relentless about ensuring that all deadlines are met and that all deliverables in the project as finalized.

Born and raised in Howard County, Consuelo is active in a long list of community organizations. She is an Honorary Board Member of The Howard County Historical Society and a member of and volunteer for The Howard County Antique Farm Machinery Club (working on print media placements and design). She has been living in Maryland for almost her entire life and having ties to the community are important to her. Consuelo also volunteers for the Vietnam Veterans Club, designing items for them and coordinating annual get-togethers. Consuelo is also a supporter of the Vietnam Wall Foundation and Disabled American Veterans.

Consuelo studied at the University of Maryland as well as the Cochran School of Art in Washington, DC.

Consuelo stays extremely active in her spare time and pursues a wide variety of activities and interests, including cooking & baking (sometimes on an extremely large scale, for events she hosts), gardening at her historic home in Maryland, photography (for which she has received many compliments) and historical research. In the past year or two, Consuelo has been actively working on transcribing her great-grandfather’s journals, which date back to the mid-19th century, when he was a Captain in the Army. In doing so, Consuelo has discovered some very relevant historical information (tied to major events and major players in history), which has motivated her to get the journals published sometime in the next few years. Consuelo lives in a 250 year old historic home in Maryland with her husband Larry and their cat, Tom.
