Emily is a strategic and creative thinker with the ability to translate insights and ideas into executable plans in the social media space. Emily works closely with the Mays Creative Team to incorporate relevant social media techniques into clients’ products and services. With her willingness to experiment based on the most current social media research, Emily is able to be extremely innovative and engage online audiences, both reactively and proactively, ultimately empowering others to talk about the brand. Emily’s educational background in research methods and statistics gives her the ability to establish measurements and success metrics where clear standards have not yet been defined. Emily is responsible for client engagement, community building and helping clients tap into the potential of online reputation management, customer engagement and social media monitoring.

Emily’s educational background is in Sociology and Psychology and she holds a degree from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Prior to joining the Mays Creative Team, Emily successfully wrote and performed research for various non-profit agencies and the federal government to assist them in creating strategies to meet their goals and organizational missions. Emily also has extensive sales experience and management experience. Emily has been writing creatively for over ten years and creates abstract acrylic and mixed media paintings in her spare time. She is a member of the National Scholastic Honor Society for College Students and The Young Professionals Network of Howard County. In the past, Emily has volunteered at Washington Animal Rescue League and the Muscular Dystrophy Association, among others.

  • Build a Social Media & Community Plan and Execute Innovative Campaigns
  • Position Key Company Players & Partners as Experts and Develop A “Central Community Hub”
  • Create Innovative Headlines, Posts, Blogs, Bios and Written Site Content; and Implement Innovative Campaigns
  • Collaborate with Mays Creative Team to Cross-Link Your Social Media With Your Mays-Developed Website
  • Perform & Compile Research To Create An Article, Blog Or Report Relevant To Your Clients, Business Or Organization
  • Creating Taglines, Titles & Editing Your Blogs; Ghost-Writing Your Blogs
